Continue to Rise
Instead of pushing harder, how would you feel if you allowed more ease and joy to creep in? Instead of feeling disappointed, how would you feel if you celebrated all that you’ve achieved?
When things don’t go quite to plan, maybe there’s another lesson at play. Maybe you need to remind yourself of just how hard you’ve worked, how many wonderful experiences you’ve had, how many changes you’ve made – and how you’ve changed too.
I’ve felt frustrated with myself over the past couple of weeks because I feel like I’m not trying hard enough and I’m falling short of my goals. Really, the exact opposite is true – I’ve well and truly exceeded my own expectations and maybe the real frustration here is that it’s time to level up once again because things are feeling easy and comfortable.
I’m only falling short if I’m not going after what I want, and everything I’ve done this year has been the exact opposite. I’ve gone after every single goal I had for myself for the year and I can honestly say I’ve done myself proud.
The only time you can question yourself is when you can raise the bar again…. and I’m realising that the bar needs to rise again, which is fitting considering my guiding word for this year was “rise.” So, let this be your reminder to continue to rise.
